explains history of the term "capitalist realism" (usage mostly ironic). talks about neoliberalism & how that's changed our window of what's "normal". introduces the Lacanian concept of the Real vs reality (acknowledges Žižek's work here). briefly goes into environmental catastrophe (one example of a Real obscured by reality) and bureaucracy
